Features ready for initial Beta release

Desktop-only

At the time of release, all of the following features are available on Desktop only. We expect to have the mobile version ready for beta within a few weeks. The mobile version will also be web based — no need to download an app.

Timeline

Add key life milestones and life events to Timeline (Birth, Graduation, Marriage, Birth of children, etc).

Multimedia Stories

Flexibly create multimedia stories with multiple “pages”. A page is any combination of:

• Text
• Video
• Photo
• Audio
• Link to Youtube, Vimeo or Soundcloud page

Collaborators

One of the really good ideas from social media is that it feels good when friends like or comment on a Story. Those comments/likes also can add richness to the story.

We've incorporated that idea into LifeTales.

For each memoir, invite Collaborators. This group will be able to see, create, comment on and like all stories and pages in the memoir. And even better, they can create Stories themselves.

Privately social.

• Stories auto-shared with all Collaborators
• Comments/likes can be added by all Collaborators
• Notifications are sent to all Collaborators for new stories, updates, comments, and likes

Flexible Chapters

No need to plan ahead. Create Chapters as you think of them. Move stories to different Chapters.

• Add a Story to a Chapter at any time. No need to do it at the time of Story creation.
• Default Chapters already added
• Chapter names can be edited/changed/deleted as desired
• Chapters are sorted alphabetically across the top of your memoir (during pre-release)
• Within each Chapter, Stories are sorted by date

Story Editing

No need to agonize over a Story. Just get started and edit later. Or have other Collaborators add content like photos. The following can all be done at any time during and after a Story is created.

• Add, move, delete pages within a Story at any time
• Add a cover photo to the Story
• Change the date of a Story
• Link photos and videos inside a Story to create a carousel when viewing
• Link text to a photo to create a caption
• Link audio to photo to create a voiceover
